Border Tuner / Sintonizador Fronterizo (2019)
Rafael Lozano-Hemmer
Installation view at the Relational Architecture 23, Ciudad Juárez, México and El Paso, TX.
This project uses lights and speakers to let people on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border talk to each other. When someone speaks, a bright searchlight projects to the other side of the border, creating a live connection.
Let’s Discuss
- How does the computer sense and respond to people?
- How does this project turn technology into a way to connect people?
